Moose on the Loose

Fall must be the time for  road trips (or perhaps in the case of this moose, to seek a mate). This short video shows an  efficient capture/relocation effort by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks personnel. The moose was removed from a busy commercial area of Bozeman. Maybe he was Christmas shopping?

More improbable, a couple of months ago, an adult mountain goat was spotted roaming prairieland on the east side of Bozeman far from what we think of as goat habitat. Various subdivisions surround the field this billy was travelling. The goat wasn’t captured and moved. I guess he found what he was looking for as he’s not been seen since.
